Common questions
Why do strangers need to pay to message me?
It’s the heart of how Mia Relay stays spam-free. The deposit is fully refundable — if you accept their introduction, they get all of it back instantly. If you ignore them or decline, the money helps fund the verification work that keeps the network real.
How do I reset my password?
Open the sign-in screen and tap “Forgot password?”. We’ll email you a one-time link.
How do I delete my account?
Email us from the address on your account with the subject line “Delete my account” and we will remove your profile, conversations, and uploaded photos within 30 days. Messages you sent that other people received cannot be remotely deleted from their devices.
Is Mia Relay end-to-end encrypted?
Not yet in v1. The connection between your device and our servers uses HTTPS, and your messages are stored encrypted at rest. End-to-end encryption (where even we can’t read message content) is on the roadmap for the private direct chats — open rooms will always stay server-readable, by design, for moderation.
Does Mia Relay work without an account?
No. Every account is verified before it can send messages or take calls. That’s the whole point.
Reporting abuse
If someone is harassing, threatening, scamming, or sending unwanted content to you on Mia Relay, email info@miabazo.com with the subject line “Abuse report” and a description of what happened. We review every report. Severe cases (threats of violence, child safety, terrorism) we escalate to law enforcement.
